February Lake Florida sunset

We get a little lazy taking pictures of the sunset in the winter. Having to get bundled up and trudge through the snow to get to the lake can be great discouragers! Today was an exception. The temperatures were a little warmer and the wind was calm. We know we are a long way from […]

Cabin #5 is finished at Dickerson’s Resort

The NEW Cabin #5 Building something new is a lot of work and always takes more time than we allow. We’re skipping many of the work pictures of the building of cabin #5, but wanted to show the finished product which we’re pretty thrilled with! It is a great addition to the resort and we hope […]

A trip around the resort and a beautiful sunset

12-29-16 The snowy resort The resort is looking a lot like winter these days! We’ve had snow and an east wind which creates some interesting designs and views. Our Winter Wonderland sign was blasted by snow. The drifts are about 2 feet high on the east side of the cabins. The snow is draping the windows […]

This too shall pass! The drifts on Lake Florida look like little mountains or maybe the surface of the moon or maybe […]

What a difference a day makes!

11-26-2017 The sunset is totally different tonight across Lake Florida. It’s very foggy and we can barely see the trees on the south shore. Lake Florida has not frozen yet so the lake gauge is still in the water. This is getting really late for freeze up!

It’s time to roll up the carpet in cabin #5!

11-6-16 It’s time to roll up the living room carpet in cabin #5. Now we remember why we put the carpeting in years ago!  There was some rot in the floor that Bob fixed and then of course we had to cover it up! The ceiling tile have been removed (that was a dusty job) […]

Dickerson’s Donuts for the Willmar Cancer Center

Today we made donuts for the staff at the Willmar Cancer Center and the Lab. Our friend Dwight who has cancer wanted to treat them for taking such good care of him. When I was making the donuts, I looked out the window and saw what appeared to be a “white alligator” floating in Lake […]
