An early snow at Lake Florida

11/18-19/2016

Things are about to change at Lake Florida. The weathermen are forecasting as much as 10 inches of snow so Keith & Travis went back to their other building project at Lake Andrew (a “cabin” 10 times larger than ours!)Bob working

The snow started slowly, but it was wet & heavy. Look at Bob getting next years campfire wood ready! When we woke up on Saturday morning we had 7+ inches!snow

After having such good fall weather we really aren’t prepared for this to happen, but it really is pretty!sun

and the snow on the red berries of our Crab apple Tree “Melvina” are both beautiful sights!

treesThe snow is heavy on our neighbors pine trees. We wonder – will they pop back up when it melts?

resort

The sound of water lapping at the shore is in-congruent with the blanket of snow, but it’s a good thing Lake Florida is still liquid because look – the docks are still in the water and the motor is still on the boat!dock

resort

It’s still fall, but with the snow we know winter is just around the corner. If you see Bob, ask him about his October 31st date for having the resort ready for winter! 🙂
